About Rabbi Tzvi & Dassie Stroh
What began with Rabbi Tzvi Stroh visiting local businesses and connecting one-on-one with Jewish residents gradually grew into something much larger—a vision to build a thriving Jewish community in Bay Ridge.
At first, Rabbi Tzvi would come to Bay Ridge for Shabbat and holidays to lead services and spend time with community members. As more people sought opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate together, he and his wife, Dassie, made the commitment to establish Chabad of Bay Ridge as a permanent home for Jewish life in the neighborhood.
In 2025, their daughter and son-in-law, Mushky and Rabbi Kalman Krinsky, together with their young son, Mendel, joined the Chabad of Bay Ridge team.
Together, the Stroh and Krinsky families are dedicated to ensuring that every Jew feels welcomed, valued, and inspired. Their passion is building genuine relationships, creating meaningful Jewish experiences, and helping every individual and family find a home at Chabad of Bay Ridge.
What is Chabad?
Chabad-Lubavitch is one of the world's largest and most dynamic Jewish organizations, dedicated to strengthening Jewish life and making Judaism accessible to every Jew.
The word Chabad is a Hebrew acronym for Chochmah (Wisdom), Binah (Understanding), and Da'at (Knowledge). These three principles reflect the movement's belief that learning and understanding inspire meaningful Jewish living.
Today, Chabad's thousands of centers around the world provide educational, social, and spiritual programs for people of every age and background. Chabad of Bay Ridge is proud to be part of this global network, bringing Jewish learning, tradition, and community to our local neighborhood with warmth, sincerity, and open hearts.
